Dear Alice,
About Soapy sex in the shower (02/23/1996), I would like to recommend hair conditioner as an ideal shower lube to use on guys. It stays slippery, is harmless, and leaves his pubic hair soft and manageable. I'm not sure it would be a good idea to use it on women.

Thanks for the idea! And Alice would concur that using it for sex with a woman could cause problems if it came into contact with mucous membranes, for example, the ones inside the vagina. In other words, don't have intercourse with this kind of lube unless you first wash it off. However, a little bit on the exterior labia and across the clitoris would probably be okay. And think of all of the tangle-free, silky tresses that no one knows may be underneath those jeans! Or underwear?
